What a Weekend!

What a crazy week! My A/C broke in my car so we were shuffling cars around on Thursday & Friday. I drove 1.5 hours on Friday to pick up E & head to P-Diddy's Friday night game. We all loaded back up and were back home by 9 pm for dinner.

Saturday was a big day - and we had Mimi to help us get through it all - started with the car pickup (A/C now fixed - thank God), visit by Mimi and all of her fabulous Holland gifts, and lunch. After loading up the car, we made a trip to pick up E at work and head to P-Diddy's final t-ball game in Midlothian. These 10 weeks have gone by so fast. We had a 1 hour break after the game to head back to Mansfield for a quick dip in the pool at the Club. Then we all loaded back up, and headed to the trophy ceremony in Midlothian. We made it back home by 6 pm for a little dinner with Mimi. A few meltdowns along the way, but nothing to be unexpected.

We decided to give our Sunday Ranger tickets away for the 2:05 pm game; our seats have direct beam sun. So we stayed at home and enjoyed a day in our pool. Unfortunately, our day ended with a trip in the ambulance to the hospital. Which fortunately turned out to be nothing disastrous. To make a long story short, 'A' was trying to enter the pool on our inflated slide. Her plan was to make an initial bounce, land on her toosh (on the slide), and then bounce into the pool from there. However, she underestimated her size/weight and the toosh-landing actually led to impact with the ground, sending an awful feeling up her spine & knocked the wind out of her. Just to be sure, the x-rays were taken and no injury sustained. Thank goodness!

My June class has begun. It's going to be a fast one and a tough one - Managerial Accounting a.k.a. Cost Accounting. We have a test every Monday, which means I am a ball of stress each weekend. BUT I am really looking forward to July & August with no school! And hopefully a vacation!

May I just say that I love having a break from school? I am starting again on Tuesday.

P-Diddy got a new bike last weekend. Since he's been riding about 6 months now, thanks to Grandpa Mike & Grandma Cindi's influence, he's been on a BMX racing bike. And man, does he fly! It makes my heart stop every now and then watching him go down driveways & around corners.

This bike is a little more all-terrain. Doesn't he look tough?

P-Diddy only has one more t-ball game. I'm hoping that Mimi is going to be able to make it. Below is a video from two weeks ago. He was totally uninterested in playing defense. He is playing 2nd base here. Notice how much is going on around him, yet he seems oblivious.

E & I spent some time in Glen Rose this weekend. I haven't been there in about a month so I finally got to see the progress firsthand.

We now have electricity.

And I checked out the containers. They will be a great support structure for the house. And they have imperfect wood floors in them that will be a nice touch.

And I stumbled upon this little devil!

Schools Out!

Finally, I have crossed the finish line! I feel like I've been running a marathon the last month writing papers. I've been looking forward to this weekend for a long time!

On the agenda today: Ann Taylor, bike ride at noon, lunch with husband, t-ball game with P Diddy, and dinner at Reatta with a couple I am friends with from high school. On the agenda tomorrow: serious spring cleaning.

Did you see my photo session with Cowtown Camera Girl? I am so happy with the pictures! My little ones are getting so big. I hope you are getting pictures before your little ones get big!

--------

We moved some containers out to 'Walker West' a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if they are for storage & temporary living or if they will be used as the structure for our house. It's getting down to crunch time to start construction. We have a deadline for end of June. E is working with a draftsman from A&M to draft the plans. Once that gets done, we'll complete a budget, and work on financing.
Doesn't this look like a fun place to live?
