Preston's Day

Addison went camping with her Girl Scout Troop last weekend, so Preston got to go to the ranch with us all by himself.

Here's his list of things he wanted to do (in order):
1. Hunt for fossils
2. Ride the 4 wheeler
3. Play video games
4. Relax on the Porch
5. Roast Marshmallows

I'm Done!

I finished Friday night - got an A in Ethics! I would be disappointed if I earned anything less. Now I just have to figure out when I graduate!

Yea - no more school! Yea- no more school!

P Soccer

Preston decided to skip t-ball this fall, and give soccer a try. Here are some pics of his first game. He played forward in the first half & goalie in the 2nd half. You'll notice in the video, while playing goalie, he also likes to direct his teammates before returning the ball.

It's so fun watching the little guys play & the big girls play. So different! So much fun!

Cowboy Game

Eric scored some tickets for us to be at the very first Cowboy game at the new stadium in Arlington. We sat is a suite on the Star level, about even with the big screen in the middle of the stadium. The suite was really nice & they have definitely put alot of money into the building. The sound was awful from where we were sitting, but later found out that if you move to a lower level, it's okay. Definitely needs some work.

It was a little hard for me to get used to watching a Cowboy game indoors & in a suite. It was a very different experience than Texas Stadium. Much more like the American Airlines Center.

We had a great time & are so glad that we could make it!

Getting a little stir-crazy, waiting for halftime.

What am I doing?

Lots of people have asked me, "what are you going to do with all of your time when you're not in school?"

There are many things on my list that I would like to get around to or get better at. And some things I'd rather spend my money on than tuition and overpriced textbooks.

First thing I did on my list: rented a Fiction book from the library. Second, rented a Rug Doctor and shampooed the carpets. This is going to be a quarterly task now that we have a dog. Third, spent the whole weekend with Eric doing a whole lot of nothing.

I am still enrolled in one online course for the fall. And need to decide when to take the CPA exam.

That's it for now!

Dublin Dr Pepper Factory

A & P were at our house for one final week for the summer. They had so much fun - got to see G Force, go to a new Swimming Park, see Legally Blonde, go to Fossil Rim camp, take an After Dark tour at Fossil Rim, play Putt Putt, as well as take a little tour of the Dr Pepper Factory in Dublin, Tx.

This is one of the only bottling companies that still uses cane sugar to make their soda. But they only distribute within 44 miles of the factory, so your out of luck if you're in the city. So you should plan a little drive to check it out, and have one of their yummy sandwiches or ice cream treats at Doc's Soda Shop. What a fun time we had!

Dance Off

We had a Dance-Off in our house a few weeks ago. There were 4 contestants - fortunately, only 2 were caught on camera! The lighting is pretty poor, but here they are.

This is the 'Worm' training video:

We just returned from our summer vacation to Austin. More pics to come when I have time to upload them.

Here's a pic from the night before we left; I came around the corner to find 2 suitcases packed & ready to go! A & P were pretty excited to get out of Dodge.
