I'll be running 8 miles tonight. This is 1/2 the distance of the race for me. So far, so good.

My final for Advanced Financial Topics is tomorrow. It shouldn't be too difficult. But I better cram tonight just to be safe.

We attended a 2 hour award ceremony for the Girl Scout Council of Midlothian. Addison achieved several patches for the work in her Brownie troop this year. As well as a '300' patch for selling over 300 boxes. A little tidbit I picked up from the meeting - from the sales made by the entire Midlothian chapter, there were $9100 worth of profits made for Girl Scouts of America. Of that, the chapter should be receiving a check for $300 to use at their discretion. Wow - how are they going to split that $300 amongst the at least 10 girl scout troops?

It seems that much like school fundraisers, it would be much easier to give them a donation.

Screw this studying - I'm going outside!

I got my presentation over with tonight. They are always so stressful to me - public speaking is not my strength. Although, I will say that I am getting better. And my presentation was much better than some. Now it's just wrapping up the paper and taking the final next week.

One of the great things about having a first-pregnancy - expecting twins - due in Mid-May -Accounting Professor is that she plans way ahead and we get to take our final two weeks early, as to not interfere with her delivery schedule. Which means two more weeks to get some fun stuff done between semesters!

I digress- we had a great weekend with beautiful weather. Preston finally had another T-Ball game. And Addison had a school carnival. And Dad started working on th kid's clubhouse. The walls are up, but still much to do. Pictures to come...

Here's some of the big slugger. Who may or may not have been sleeping out on second base. His attention span is still lacking a bit. But it was certainly fun to watch!

Ever have one of those days?

I've had lots of good days- not much to complain about. Not today. Nothing seemed to work right. We even ran out of copy paper. But the climax of my day is when the reconciliation journal entries I had been compiling for a majority of my day would not upload and post. You know what that means- quality time with the helpdesk tomorrow.

On a brighter note, my sweetie is taking me to Olenjack's for dinner! The evening is looking up.

I had a conference call with my CFO/CAO and international controller today. They were so gracious to spend some time enlightening me to the ways of handling International Subsidiaries. That's what I'm going to spend the weekend writing a paper about. And preparing a presentation about. Two more weeks of school for me. My prof is due with twins so she's cutting our semester short. Yea!

Varments!

I found this little guy snooping around my new Cannas! He better not be eating them. It's hard enough to nurture heat resistant plants with the April snow.

Easter Weekend

What a busy few days it has been! We started at a snowy Easter egg hunt yesterday at Walnut Creek. Who would have ever thought it would snow in Texas in April? Eric played the role of Easter bunny at the hunt. None of the kids seemed to care that the snow was falling. It didn't seem to slow them down one bit!

We then returned home to catch a little bit of the Masters and dye some eggs of our own.

And finally, today started out super early. The Easter bunny left some big, bright droppings in our yard. Which were hit by the sprinkler and then left colors all over the carpet. Thank God for Oxy Clean! We then got all spiffed up and headed out to church. And after brunch at the Club, we made one final stop to snap some pics in the bluebonnets.

We did have some sub-par pics taken at brunch. This one turned out okay:

We'll have to try to get some better shots with Cowtown Camera Girl later!
We are home and worn out! Well, maybe I speak for myself, everyone else is outside but I have a date with the couch and the final round of the Masters!

Twas the Night Before Easter

Some would call this a servant's heart. Some would call it a sales pitch.

To: the Easter Bunny

How many eggs do you have to deliver in one night? Is it hard? Where do you live? How many eggs are there? How many helpers do you have? Hey - I have a fundraiser that is called 'Jump Rope for Heart' . I hope you would donate to me. But you do not have to. Love, Addison. PS- I hope you deliver the eggs safe.

I got up early today which is rare. I'm in enough pain that it hurts to sleep. Eric and I spent the whole day Sunday tearing out our deck. He did most of the physical ripping and lifting so he must be feeling worse than I am.

Here's some of our progress:

Then, like a fool, I decided to tackle this pile of leaves on Monday:

So I better head off to work. I may be moving a little slow today.
