1000

1035 Calories burned on tonight's run. I remember back about two month's ago when I had just begun running and thinking how great it would be to someday have the lung capacity and leg strength to make it to 1000 calories. Today, folks, was that day.

And on a more interesting note, E and I celebrated our first anniversary this weekend. I was surprised with a Sunday night getaway to Rough Creek - one of my favorite getaways. It is a little on the pricey side - but very much worth it. We had a lovely dinner and enjoyed a breezy evening that turned into an awesome stormy night.
We did try our cake that had been inefficiently wrapped up in our freezer all year. It was really very tasty. But most of it ended up in the trash. We've had a very good first year. And the second is starting out well.

Now that school is out, I'm trying to finish some projects around the house. Tomorrow and Thursday I will be painting the dining room. And next weekend I'll shampoo the carpets. And if this rain would ever let up - not that I am complaining - we may be able to do something about the large mud puddle that is sitting in our back yard.

Off now to sign up for El Scorcho. I've been slacking.

Way to go Frandog!!! I'm so impressed! How many miles was that? 10? I walked 2 miles this morning and was exhausted. Oh how times have changed! Can't wait to get back to running. Hopefully our baby will be into running too. It really does make you feel good!

And happy one year anniversary! As I always say....I wish you guys would get married again. We had such a good time!
