I spoke with my mom this morning. As soon as the phone rang, my head started ringing.

Here's why: We recently discovered the Brownstone Village in Arlington which had among its many shops, a delightful wine room and a little italian cafe. Since it is a 'BYO' cafe, we would often stop at the wine room, taste a few wines, pick a selection, and take it to dinner. This wine room also stayed open until 10pm, so naturally when we were done with dinner, we would end up back in the wine room for dessert.

We returned to the Brownstone Village last night. The wine room has changed owners since we were there last. We barely slipped in the door at 8pm as they were counting the register. We quickly picked 2 wines (without tasting them) and $56 later we were scooted out the door.

When we made it into the restaurant and popped the cork, about half a glass for each of us and we both decided to toss the bottle. Yuck-o. So, to make a long story short, I think that's why my head was ringing when I woke up! We've decided not to return to the wine room in the future. What a let down.

But- there is a new restaurant opened in Lincoln Square. Olenjack's. We stopped there on the way home. It is a very promising replacement restaurant for us. The wine list was very impressive- we may try out the food tonight.

In other news: since I did speak with Mom this morning, she requested some pictures to be added to my blog. And some more postings, so I will attempt to do both.

This plate (from Aunt Nell and Uncle Logan) gets alot of use these days.

Here's some pictures of our 10 mile bike ride last weekend:

The little one gets a little cranky towards the end.
