I was in 1st !!

I headed out this morning for my 6 mile run through River Legacy Park. I noticed more traffic than usual & began seeing the signs posted: there was a race at the park today. The Jiggle Butt Run. I continued on my way.

I had just finished mile #5 when I finally saw a huge crowd of women approaching me. And they were all cheering me on! You Go Girl! Keep it Up! Good Job! And then I realized - I was running right behind the lead bicycle! They all thought I was in first place! And I guess I was for about 20 seconds when I was passed by the real leader.

But it was a great feeling for about 20 seconds. And I know I had a huge smile on my face because I thought it was so funny and so nice at the same time. I guess that having running partners can be very beneficial.

Christmas Week

We had a fun few days together in anticipation of Christmas. We went bowling, had a visit with Mimi & Enno, made cookies with Aunt Nell & Ezra James and Mimi, went Ice Skating, looked at Christmas lights, watched Christmas movies & played lots of games. All before Santa arrived.

Christmas Around the World

We made it to Addison's school play last night, Christmas Around the World. She was Cupid, one of Santa's reindeer. She did such a great job! I was really impressed with all of the lines she had to memorize & and the amount of songs they sang.

This is Rudolph below. She really wanted this part, but I think she was placed in the right role.

What a Turkey!

As promised, a few pictures of my favorite Turkey!

(You'll notice that he shed his head back at the golf cart).

A few updates...

I'm a little behind on the house progress. Two weeks ago, E dug out the trenches for the electric, water, and sewer lines down the hill. Roberto also came back to help complete the metal work on the patio.

It was a beautiful weekend which allowed us to get a few things done outside. We put the roof panels on the patio, filled in the gaps with foam insulation in the windows, and put up siding on the exterior in preparation for rock. With the wind chill at 18 degrees today, E worked inside on the sheetrock.
