It's still cold here. Luckily, I got to spend my recent birthday in Sunny San Diego California! What a relief from this weather!

I am going to attend the funeral tomorrow of a friend of mine from High School. He has been battling brain cancer for a few years now. He lost his battle last week. My heart goes out to his sweet wife and baby girl. I never want to have to go through any of that. Gosh.

The cold weather has been nice for a change, but it's starting to get a little frustrating. For a few reasons:

1. I had to totally re-do my budget because we've had very little business in the month of January with the golf course closed.

2. I tend to run in the door everyday and hide beneath a blanket. Thus, I am not exercising enough.

3. My car is really dirty.

4. I am wearing many more clothes = much more laundry.

I did finally get out and brave the weather today for a jog. It's pretty cold, but it was refreshing to get out of the house. I'm now posting to my blog while I load up my 'Cleaning Tunes' on the iPod, and further delay the inevitable bathroom cleaning.

Mom is coming to stay so I guess I need to get the toys out of the bathtub. We don't want any accidents....

It's budgeting time again. Very tedious work. 5% revenue increases. 5% payroll and expense reductions. That means if I want a raise, I have to cut someone's hours.

Coincidentally, my assistant is leaving to return to school full-time. I'm in a state of depression. She takes care of so many things that I have no interest in dealing with.

The old car sold in less than 5 hours on Craigslist.
